Subject: Announcement of the Cessation of Production and Support for PIV Continuously Variable Transmissions

Dear Valued Customers,
Thank you for your continued patronage.

We regret to inform you that we have received notification from the manufacturer regarding the cessation of supply for the German-made PIV continuously variable transmission (CVT). This transmission is utilized in some of our older model machines.

Therefore, we must regrettably terminate the production and support for this transmission according to the schedule below.
We deeply apologize for the great inconvenience this will cause our customers who have used our machinery for many years. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation.

1. Affected Models
・R-220 (ZUB-220)　 ・R-360 (ZUB-360)
・QD-ZUB-220　　 ・QD-ZUB-360

2. Cessation Schedule for Production and Parts Supply
• Supply of Main Units: End of December 2025
• Supply of Parts: End of March 2026

Our company will terminate the support system on the dates listed above, as it is difficult for us to secure inventory and supply replacement parts.

3. Alternative Solution and Continued Support
However, it is possible to modify the structure of the machine so that the PIV is no longer required by implementing a modification to an inverter motor specification.
We will continue to provide support to customers who implement this modification. Customers wishing to carry out this modification are requested to confirm the model and serial number of the machine body and contact the inquiry desk below.

4. Future Supply Risks and Recommendations
Please be advised that a considerable number of years have passed since the sale of R Series (R(ZUB)-200, 220, 360, etc.), HS-100, and other customized machines.
Consequently, there is a high probability that the supply of parts other than the PIV transmission will also gradually become difficult in the future.
We therefore recommend that you conduct inspections beforehand to secure the inventory of necessary parts, or plan the replacement of your machinery with the current model NC servo machine SF series.
